Fans cheered with joy when it was announced a Deadpool movie would be seeing the light of day.

While the film is still a year away, that isn't stopping lead actor Ryan Reynolds from tweeting out a sneak peak at his soon-to-be costume.

Needless to say, fans will likely be happy with the results.

Yep, that's Deadpool's mask alright, and it's the spitting image of the Merc with a Mouth's look from the comics. Reynolds and company are likely trying to match the look and tone of the Deadpool test footage that first leaked and was then officially released. In it, Deadpool battles with a group of villains in a van, wise-cracking all the while.

The footage received such a positive response that it convinced Fox, which owns the film rights to all X-Men characters, to move ahead with what is likely to be an R-Rated superhero film. The character last appeared in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Reynolds played that version of Deadpool too, though the film wasn't well received and its version of Deadpool hated by fans.

This new movie looks to be getting Deadpool right. Tim Miller is set to direct the film based on a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Look for Deadpool to invade the big screen on Feb. 12, 2016.
