After two award-winning, bestselling "seasons" of games based on The Walking Dead, it looks like young star Clementine is getting some time off.

The next installment of the series, as announced today at E3, is The Walking Dead: Michonne, and it centers on everyone's favorite sword-wielding zombie slayer. Telltale Games describes it as a miniseries, meaning it's basically a one-shot series that's not directly connected to the ongoing story of Clementine and those around her.

Working closely with Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, Telltale will use this game to fill in a gap of Michonne's story. Specifically, there was stretch of time between issues #126 and #139, during which she was pulled away from the group led by Rick Grimes. She eventually reunited with them, of course, but what exactly she was up to during that time has never been explained in the comic book. The Walking Dead: Michonne will finally reveal that story.

Like the previous games in the series, Michonne will be available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Steam, PC, Mac, iOS and Android. The developer warns that players will need, at minimum, the first epsidoe of The Walking Dead: Season Two in order to play Michonne.

Telltale expects it to be available sometime this fall.
