Samsung is reportedly planning to release successors to its Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 smartphone series. The new Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A7 have popped up on GFXBench, revealing the specs of both devices.

When Samsung began toying with the idea of releasing smartphones built out of premium materials like glass and metal in place of its usual all-plastic builds, it launched the iPhone 5s-inspired Galaxy Alpha back in August 2014.

After the Galaxy Alpha's launch, reports indicated that Samsung was already working on a series of smartphones that would use a similar premium design and consist of three handsets — the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7.

Samsung is reportedly working on sequels to the Galaxy A3, A5 and A7, and two of the devices just made an appearance on GFXBench, revealing the smartphone and phablet's specs in the process.

Its camera capabilities consist of a 13 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and ability to capture 1080p Full HD video, in addition to a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for video chatting and selfies.

While the Galaxy A5 follow-up didn't make an appearance on GFXBench with its siblings, the smartphone is expected to sport a 5.2-inch 1080p display and specs similar to the Galaxy A7.

There's no word on when we should expect Samsung to make the Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 sequels official, but we'll keep you posted on any new details as they become available.
