The latest report from the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) has revealed that in 2012, the number of in-vitro fertilized (IVF) babies soared to an all-time high in 2012, which accounted for 1.5 percent of all babies born in the country for the year. IVF physicians were also reported to be using only one embryo for IVF in 2012 rather than multiple ones in previous years, which helped limit multiple births that are saddled with health risks.
