Warner Bros. is aiming to release an "interim" patch for the bug-infested PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight in August.

Batman: Arkham Knight debuted worldwide in June and was made available to Sony PlayStation 4 (PS4), Microsoft Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. The video game is the fourth installment in the Batman: Arkham series.

The PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game have been applauded in the video game community; however, the PC version is plagued with bugs, especially those using the AMD graphics card. Gamers have reported sporadic freezes, slow frame-rate and audio glitches in Batman: Arkham Knight's PC version.

"For the most part it runs quite smoothly actually. Problem is that once I get into the Batmobile or any instance that involves quick camera movement the framerate drops below 5," complained a Reddit user.

Warner Bros. and the developer of the action-adventure game, Rocksteady Studios, have apologized to gamers for the glitches of the PC game on a Steam blog.

"Again, we would like to apologize to you, the fans, and let you know that we are taking full responsibility for releasing a product [Batman: Arkham City, PC version] that did not meet our quality standards, which is why we suspended sales of the game as soon as we understood the issues," stated Warner Bros.

The game publisher had released a patch to fix a number of bugs in Batman: Arkhan Knight's PC version but now Warner Bros. has confirmed that it will release an interim patch that will address more issues that gamers are facing.

"As an update, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Rocksteady and our partners are targeting an interim patch update for existing players to be released in August," announced Warner Bros.

A Kotaku report cites unnamed sources familiar with the development of the game who claim that Microsoft was aware of many problems of the PC version. However, the game publisher chose to ship the game despite all the problems. Microsoft remains mum on such claims.

As the sale of the PC version has stopped, Warner Bros. is still to confirm a date when sale of the game will begin again for PCs.
