Street Fighter V fans are looking forward to the EVO 2019 event happening this weekend even though the long-running fighting game is no longer at the top slot.

The gaming community is anticipating to get some big surprise reveals such as an announcement of iconic fighters debuting in Street Fighter V. However, the reveal trailer was accidentally leaked on Steam earlier this week.

While it is not known at the time how the leak took place, Valve has deemed itself responsible for what happened.

Valve Issues Apology To Capcom, Fans

Consequently, the company issued an apology to Capcom and the fans for the unfortunate incident. TomG, a Valve employee, wrote the apology on the game's Steam forum.

"There was a mix-up in the publishing process at Valve that caused a trailer to go live on Steam ahead of schedule... It's a regrettable and unintentional situation, and we have already implemented measures to prevent this error from happening again," he explained.

He added that they, too, are fans of the game and they felt sorry for the error. The leaked reveal trailer, as shown below, has been posted on YouTube courtesy of Gamespot trailers.

Street Fighter V Adds 3 Major Characters

Seemingly, it is all good news to the fans of the game. Capcom is adding three impressive new fighters to Street Fighter V's large roster. These major characters are sumo wrestler E. Honda from the classic Street Fighter II, policewoman Lucia from Final Fight 3, and Poison, who may be a transgender fighter, from Final Fight.

The newest trio of characters E. Honda, Lucia, and Poison will be available for purchase on the culmination of Evo 2019 on Sunday, Aug. 4. These characters can be bought for $5.99 each or 100,000 Fight Money.

On Aug. 5, Capcom will also offer a bundle with all three characters and their alternate colors and battle costumes for only $14.99.

Before E. Honda, Lucia, and Poison, Capcom last added the Evil Ryu character Kage to Street Fighter V in December last year.
