Rivian is going big with its newly launched and established "Adventure Network" fast-charging station available in Colorado and California. It aims to bring power in the middle of off-road expeditions. There are currently three sites available for the Adventure Network, and the company included some ports for other electric vehicles to use.

Rivian announced early this week that it had already opened its first Adventure Network fast-charging site in Salida, Colorado. It is an off-road location where users may stop and replenish their batteries. One of the challenges for electric cars is to have power accessible from different areas, and running out of charge in the middle of nowhere is a massive threat to its use.

Colorado's Adventure Network is only the first, as Rivian said it would open in two other locations in California later in the week. The remaining Adventure Network sites include Inyokern and Bishop, California, which will open on June 28 and 29.

Adventure Network is a fast-charging station that promises a Level 3 DC fast charger that outputs 200 kilowatts of power. It will bring Rivian EVs to charge as much as 140 miles of range in 20 minutes.

The Adventure Network also offers a Level 2 charger on-site, which will help accommodate a universal port for other electric vehicle brands.

According to CNET, Rivian said that it is in the process of setting up other locations for the Adventure Network and will be available across different places in the country. Rivian also promises to have more than 3,500 Adventure Network sites by the end of 2023.

Rivian and its Growing Fleet of EVs

This year is the breakthrough for Rivian and its electric vehicle fleet to deliver to drivers that bought its cars, and the manufacturer promises its arrival to its new owners soon. The electric vehicle company brings adventure cars as its primary focus, aiming to deliver a unique experience for the world that would look at EVs in a new way.

The R1T electric pickup truck is for the adventure and off-roading, and the company brings its experience to all, with its initial test drive put it on a challenge to take on the rocky ground in the countryside. The company wants people to experience the thrill of going on adventures with clean energy, and its growing fleet aims to catch up to its trend.

Rivian's venture to give the adventurers a chance to proceed with their destinations and go home with sufficient charge is to bring the Adventure Network fast chargers for its electric cars. It also aims to give other EV brands a way to regain their lost charge even in the middle of nowhere, as people go on the terrain to play with their vehicles.
